Quod mori potuit
All that was mortal in JOSEPH PRYCE Esqr late of Gellyhyr in this Parish whose amiable qualities Endeared him to all his friends. Religious without hypocrisy, humble without meanness, charitable without Ostentation, humane, benevolent, Hospitable: an affectionate Husband, indulgent Father; a Sincere friend, impartial Magistrate, His life Exemplary, his Death happy: unfeigned Piety accompanied him thro' every scene to the last moments of Life, Supported Him with Assurance of hope, the Source of Peace, and Ernest of a Blissfull Immortality. |

Here Lieth the Body of Nathaniel Bowen Gent of this Parish who De- parted this Life Jan. 8TH [?] 1771 Aged 78 years

Many thanks to Terry Barlow for his suggestion that Nathaniel's surname might be Bowen, and to Jeff Coleman and Graham Williams for confirming the name Bowen by reference to the Ilston parish registers and churchyard monumental inscriptions. |

Sacred to the Memory of Joseph Kneath, Son of Joseph and Martha Kneath died May 21st 1811 Aged 21yrs Also Wm. KNEATH Son of the above died April 8th 1821 Aged 22 yrs.
DEATH WHAT A SULLEN SOUND TO ALL WHAT MORTAL THINGS ARE MEN WE SOON ARISE AND QUICK WE FALL TO MIX WITH EARTH AGAIN.

Parents Grive no more for we For in this Grave we lie all three Our Souls ascended up on High Repet you all before you die.
