Photography by John Ball - 24th November 1997 (with Agfa ePhoto-307 digital camera)
Supermarkets are probably the same the world over, but maybe some of the goods on sale are different. ASDA is one of the largest of the supermarket chains in the UK.

are called 'swedes' in the UK and 'turnips' in North America. The signs suspended above are in both Welsh and English languages.
Above: Part of the cooked meats and pies display. In the centre is a selection of delicious 'pork pies'.
Above: Wales is famous for its Welsh lamb, on display here.
Above: The drinks section features a display of alcoholic cider, made from fermented apple juice. The bottles and cans in the centre are of a strong cider known as "Scrumpy Jack", brewed in the English county of Herefordshire.
