Celtic Cross

Celtic Cross
Carew
Pembrokeshire

Photography by John Ball - 2:30 pm 8th May 1998
(with Agfa ePhoto307 digital camera)

This ancient 13 foot high Celtic stone cross
overlooks the main A4075 road which runs
through the village of Carew. The cross
commemorates Maredydd (Meredith),
the ruler of Deheubarth, who was
slain in AD 1035.
