Trecastle, Breconshire

Photography by John Ball - 17 May 1998
(with Agfa ePhoto-307 digtal camera)

These scenes feature some of the
many interesting old buildings in
the quiet Breconshire village of
Trecastle.

Cottage

Above: Notice how the roof slopes almost down to ground level at the back
of this old cottage. This is a common feature of many Welsh cottages.

Three Horse Shoes Inn

Above: The Three Horse Shoes Inn.

Workers' cottages

Above: A row of workers' cottages in Trecastle, and on the far left, the chapel.

Old farm

Above: A fascinating old tumbledown farm building on Trecastle's main street.

Passageway

Left: In the same building, this quaint passageway invites us to explore further...
but we'll leave that for another day!!
