Where's that? - Locate Llanfilo on a map of Wales.

The historic church of St Bilo is in the tiny village of Llanfilo, near Talgarth in Breconshire.

Above: St Bilo's viewed from the south-west. The oldest parts of the church date back to AD 1100, but the pyramidal roof on the tower was rebuilt in 1851. The south doorway is probably 14th century.

Above: Looking eastwards, we can see the distant Black Mountains of Breconshire.

Above and below: Some of the oldest gravestones from the churchyard are now
mounted high on the south and east walls of the church.
